The National Archive is a central state archive and repository of Jewish registers, public records, yeaomans books, cadasters, applications for residence permit of Prague police headquarters and other archival materials pertaining to Czech state.
Open Monday & Wednesday 9:00am to 6:00pm, Tuesday & Thursday 9:00am to 4:00pm.

A seat of the National archives, a main research room and a library A are located in a new Archives' site in Prague 4 - Chodovec. The research room makes accessible a majority of modern fonds and collections (after 1848) with exception of those, which belong under the administration of the 1st department.

The National Archives uses another building in Prague 6 - Dejvice as well. There is a seat of the 1st department, which administers, arranges and makes accessible archival fonds of political, financial, judicial and church administration, land self-government from the period of feudalism, arisen from activities of central state offices, bodies and institutions of the old Czech state (i.e. the Crown of Bohemia Lands) and the Bohemian Kingdom from the 12th century to mid 19th century. The department comprises a research room and a library B.
